Notes on colour 2026
The interior of the Saint Vitus Church in Naarden reflects men’s ambiguous attitude towards colour through out history, with its colourful vault and white walls. In a site specific installation Caspers redefines the concept of colour within the building by illuminating the physical and chemical aspects of the pigments that were used in the vault’s 16th century decorations, revealing a hidden world that connects with ‘the book of nature’ and surpasses iconography.
